A 501(c)(3) private foundation dedicated to supporting open content, educational innovation, and community-driven initiatives since 2009.
Supporting innovation in open content, education, and technology
Founded in 2009 as "The Lewis Charitable Foundation," the Anspar Foundation's mission has been to investigate and promote the costs and benefits of sharing intellectual property in creative contexts. We support research, educational programs, and community initiatives that advance open content, innovation, and accessibility.
Through grants and partnerships, we work with organizations and individuals to explore how open licenses and collaborative approaches can enhance creativity, education, and social impact. Our projects span education technology, game development research, health informatics and cultural programs.
